Breanna & Brodie – Australia Trip

Friday, October 18

Today we had to pack up and check out of our hostel in Byron Bay. We are catching the Grey Hound bus to Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.

The bus ride was about 2 hours and it was very scenic. We arrived in Surfers Paradise around 6:00pm and Ron (the man we are staying with) was there to pick us up.

We then headed to Jan and Ron’s where Jan had supper all ready for us and we just spent the night getting to know them and getting settled into our room.

Saturday, October 19

Today, the weather was perfect! It was 31 and sunny, with little wind. We went down to surfers paradise to check it out.

We walked around for quite a while and then headed down to the beach to spend our day there since the weather was so beautiful.

Sunday, October 20

Today, Jan asked if we would like to spend the day with them, so we did. We started off the day by going for breakfast at a nearby outdoor mall called harbour town.

It was delicious! After breakfast we walked around the outdoor mall for a bit and Jan showed us some shops she likes and things she thought we would enjoy.

After the mall they drove us to a very wealthy community to show us all the big houses. The community was called Sovereign island. It is a man made island with a bunch of mansions and insane houses!

After driving around the community we headed back to Jan & Ron’s place to have a snack. They then wanted to drive us around to go see where Sea World is and the area around there. We went for a little walk around the park and then they dropped us back off down at Surfers Paradise. We went out for supper and then headed back to the Air B&B.

Jan & Ron told us that there is always Kangaroos out in the golf course in the evening so we walked there and there was sooo many! It was so cool to see!
