Breanna & Brodie – Australia Trip

Saturday, November 2

Today was pouring rain pretty much all day. We started off the day by just walking around Noosa, checking it out and seeing where everything is. It was raining very hard so we went back to our hostel where we just hung out, read and played cards.

When the rain finally let up, we walked down to Sunshine Beach. It was beautiful and not very busy which is nice. We just walked the beach for a while.

After we walked the beach, we headed back to our hostel to get ready to go to the free sangria and nachos night the hostel was putting on. We went to it with the 3 other girls that we are sharing a room with. One girl is from France, another is from Switzerland and the last one is from Germany!

Sunday, November 3

We started our day off bright and early to catch the bus for the Everglades tour. It was truly amazing to see as there are only 2 Everglades in the world – here, in Noosa and in Florida. The tour started off by cruising through the Everglades and learning a bit about it.

We were cruising around for about an hour and a half and then we came to a stop where we had “morning tea” as the Australians call it (it was just a muffin and some juice lol). At this stop we also got to swim in the Everglades and the water is full of tea tree oil so the water is very good for your skin and hair. The Tea tree is so strong the water has an orange tinge and it smelled amazing. After our swim is when we got to go into canoes and canoe 5km – this was super amazing and so much fun.

We canoed to a little beach where we were able to swim again which was nice because it sure got hot canoeing!

Once everyone got to the beach, we headed back and had time to do whatever we wanted until the bus picked us up around 3pm. There were tons of wild kangaroos here so we went and seen them and could actually get really close to them.

After we got back to the hostel we decided to go on a hike to Laguna Lookout for sunset. The sun went behind the clouds so we didn’t get to see too much of it but it was still very pretty.

After watching the sunset, we hiked back to our hostel and headed to bed!

Monday, November 4

Today was very hot! We started the day by going to Noosa’s Main Beach and read our books, went swimming and enjoyed the sun for a while. After that we went and walked down some of streets in the little town. There were lots of little souvenir shops.

In the afternoon we hiked from Noosa Main Beach to the Fairy Pools. This hike was called the Coastal walk, it was so beautiful!

The walk took us about an hour and a half to get to the fairy pools. When we got there we went in for a swim!

We hiked back to Main Beach and then caught a bus back to our hostel! The rest of the night we just made supper and hung out at the hostel.
