Breanna & Brodie – Australia Trip

Monday, November 11

Today we checked out of YHA at 10am and just hung out there until our bus which was at 2:00pm. Our bus ride was 5 and a half hours in total and we arrived at Rainbow Beach around 8pm. We are staying at a hostel called Freedom Hostels. When we got to the hostel we did some laundry and then headed to bed.

Tuesday, November 12

For our first full day at Rainbow Beach, we started the day off going to a lookout called Rainbow Beach lookout.

After this we hiked to Carlo Sandblow which was super cool!

After hanging out here for a bit we headed back to the hostel to hang out. We then met some girls and we all headed back to the Carlo Sandblow with some toboggans to slide down the huge sand hill!

After this, we headed back to the hostel to make supper and hung out there for the night.

Wednesday, November 13

Today, we are leaving Rainbow Beach and heading to Hervey Bay. Our bus is only at 2:35pm so we went down to the Surf Club for some lunch. While we were at the surf club a cockatoo bird was flying around and hanging out there. It was cool to see a bird like that in the wild.

After lunch we headed down to the beach area to see the famous Rainbow stairs.

We continued to walk around for a bit and then headed to the bus stop to catch the greyhound bus.

The bus ride was just 2 hours to Hervey Bay so we got there around 4:30pm. We stayed in a motel that night, it was very nice to not share a room for once lol. We went to bed early as we have an early morning tomorrow for our Fraser/K’Gari Island Tour!
