Breanna & Brodie – Australia Trip

Wednesday, November 20

We had an earlier bus today. We caught the Grey Hound bus around 7:50am and arrived to Airlie Beach around 10:00am. We then headed to our hostel, Nomads. We walked around Airlie for a little while just checking the town out.

After checking the place out we headed back to our hostel and packed up our little bags for our tour tomorrow. We didn’t do much else today as the afternoon was very rainy.

Thursday, November 21

Today we catch our boat to sail Whitsundays! In the morning we went and got açai bowls at a cute little cafe.

We didn’t do anything else until it was time to head to the Marina to catch The Atlantic Clipper boat! The weather wasn’t great, it was very rainy and cloudy again. We sailed for about 3 hours to get to the Whitsunday islands and then we stopped for a while. The boat had a water slide so we all used that for quite some time. We had to wear stinger suits as there are lots of jelly fish.

We had supper after this which was spaghetti bolognese, cheesy garlic bread and salad. After that everyone just visited and got to know each other!

When we were on the roof deck, we were able to see sharks swimming around which was super cool!

Friday, November 22

Today started at 6:30am we had breakfast on the boat and then got off to go see White Haven beach. It was another very rainy day, which sucked because White Haven beach would have been even prettier if the sun was shining!

First we hiked up to a little lookout that looked over White Haven beach, it was so beautiful.

We then hiked back down and headed to the beach. We stayed at the beach for about an hour and then it started pouring so we had to head back to the boat.

When we got back to the boat we had lunch which was just sandwiches, wraps and mac salads. After lunch we sailed for a while and then went snorkelling in the rain lol. Sadly, the go pro died so we weren’t able to take it with us snorkelling to get pics and vids. We just seen lots of coral and a few fish while snorkelling.

We had supper which was fish, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Then there was a white party starting after supper (everyone was supposed to dress in white clothing). The crew members organized a few games and then we all just hung out and had a few drinks!
