Breanna & Brodie – Australia Trip

Friday, November 29

Today is another full day of travelling. We caught a ferry from Magnetic Island to Townsville. We then caught the grey hound bus to Cairns. This bus ride was a little over 6 hours. When we arrived to Cairns we went and checked into our hostel Gilligan’s. We got to the hostel late so we just organized our stuff and went to bed!

Saturday, November 30

Today was very rainy and soooo humid. The humidity was 89% so it was just kind of gross to be outside lol. We walked through a little market in the morning and then went and checked out the pool at the hostel.

We played cards, read our books and just had a relaxing day at the hostel.

Later on we walked to a night market. There was lots of little food places, jewelry and clothes!

Sunday, December 1

Today we had a 1 day tour that took us out to the michaelmas cay part of the Great Barrier Reef. It took us about an hour and a half to sail out there. When we arrived our first activity was going into a submarine boat.

We seen a shark, a few turtles and lots of cool fish! The coral and clams were amazing to see as well.

After the submarine we headed back to the boat and ate lunch. They had a nice buffet lunch, it was super good.

Then it was time to go scuba diving!! Sadly we weren’t aloud to bring our go pro as they wanted us to be focused because it was our first time scuba diving. We both enjoyed the dive, the Great Barrier Reef is so pretty.

After the dive we headed back to the boat and they served tea, coffee, cake and fruit! We headed back to Cairns around 3:00, this tour was super fun!
